On Wednesday 7th August I attended my first ever Play in the Park at Aylesbury Vale Park. Despite the Great British weather being as unpredictable as ever we still managed to dance and sing between rain showers.
What is Play in the Park?
Play in the Park is an annual event run by Aylesbury Vale District council to celebrate National Play Day. The event is free to attend and there's loads to see and do! Many of the activities on the day are free and some have a small charge of £1 - £3 in the form of tokens.
Zumba® Kids and Zumbini® at Play in the Park
So what was I doing there? From 12.30-2pm I was running FREE demonstrations in the football pitches. It was lovely to meet so many families. I started off with an impromptu Zumbini® group of lovely mummies, babies and toddlers dancing and singing to a range of Zumbini® original songs. Then, at 1pm I had between 20-30 children join me for Zumba® Kids and we enjoyed dancing to some great hits including; Sax, Can't Stop the Feeling and 1,2, 3 Shake! Finally, at 1.30pm I was ready to rock with my next group of Zumbini® mummies and daddies when the heavens suddenly opened (Oh Britain)! But thankfully, after a quick dash under the nearest tree for some shelter we were able to wait it out and squeeze a quick dance and sing song in before it was time to go. Thanks to everyone who popped along to join in with me. I'd love to hear what you thought of the demonstrations.
